Block Puzzle: Frozen Jewel is a holiday-themed block arrangement game that combines a winter setting with glowing jewel blocks. Players are tasked with placing different shapes of jewel blocks onto a board to form full rows or columns. When these lines are completed, the blocks are removed from the board and points are awarded. The game continues until there is no space left to place the upcoming blocks.
Set in a snowy landscape with decorated Christmas trees and wrapped presents, this puzzle game creates a seasonal environment for players. The blocks come in bright holiday colors such as red, green, yellow, blue, and purple, each designed with a jewel-like appearance that stands out clearly against the dark grid.
How to play
The game uses an 8x8 grid depending on the version. At the bottom of the screen, players are presented with three random blocks at a time. These blocks can be dragged onto any available space on the board. Once a block is placed, it cannot be moved again.
The objective is to complete full horizontal or vertical lines. Once cleared, more space is opened on the board, allowing for further placement of new blocks. Points are scored with each cleared line, and combo clears (multiple lines at once) grant bonus points.
A level progress bar at the top tracks how many points have been earned. The game includes multiple levels, and the difficulty increases as players progress.
Visual design
The background features a winter landscape with snowy mountains, decorated pine trees, falling snowflakes, and gift boxes. At the top of the screen, a cheerful Santa character watches over the game board. All blocks are designed to resemble shiny gemstones and glow softly against the cool-toned grid. Each piece has a frosty outline, further reinforcing the frozen holiday theme.
Controls
Use the mouse or touch screen to drag a block from the bottom tray onto the board. Click or tap, hold, and release to place a block. Once placed, blocks are fixed in position. When no block in the tray can be placed on the board, the game ends.
Game objectives
- Place blocks to create complete rows or columns.
- Clear blocks to gain points and free space on the board.
- Fill the level bar to move to the next level.
- Aim to reach the highest score possible before the board fills up.
